Smile Peace Love Creative is a team of wedding professionals who specialize in officiating weddings and delivering incredible wedding photography. We specialize in a documentary style of capturing your moments. Photojournalism is our preference but we love the classic traditional photography and poses as well.
When shooting, we love to focus on emotions and interactions. Some of the qualities that set us apart are our use of light, traveling to amazing locations, and spotlighting interactions, expressions and emotions. Our primary goal is to always exceed your expectations and give you customer service that you can’t help talking about.
We have two primary studio locations based out of the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania and the Finger Lakes of New York, but we happily travel to any destination. We frequently travel to NYC, Philly, the Lehigh Valley, the Poconos, the Finger Lakes, & all of NJ, NY, & PA.
We mix it up with a combination of lifestyle portraiture and traditional wedding photography. We provide an array of images that are a lovely mix of candids, stylized, editorial, detail shots & classic formal portraiture.
Our portrait sessions are fun and unique to each client. We specialize in figuring out the best way to tell your story. Portrait sessions run 60 minutes long and include high resolution files with printing and sharing privileges.
Weddings are unique and whimsical by nature, which is why we love to capture every unforgettable little element and moment. Quotes can be created for potential clients to maximize and customize their collection if our packages do not fit their needs..
My mother is my inspiration. She guides me and pushes me to be the best person I can be. In 1987 my mother began the fight of her life. She was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor. She struggled through years of Chemotherapy and radiation treatments and was an amazing mother. She was always there to lift your spirits and to offer her "words of wisdom". My mother never wanted to talk about death or her future, she lived every day as if it were her last. In 2005, after 18 long and wonderful years, my mother lost her battle. She did not lose her life, she lost the battle. Her life continues in everyone that loves her and this is where the phrase "Smile Peace Love" comes in.
As my father, brother & I were in the funeral home, trying desperately to decide on the arrangements and wondering what mom would have wanted, we got a call. We were literally minutes from signing the paperwork when my Aunt called and said she found a journal of my mother's. She brought the journal to us at the funeral home and there in the pages of her memories were instructions for her funeral service. She kept it simple and graceful and her only real request was that 3 simple words be put on her headstone. Smile Peace Love
Since my mother's passing, this phrase has graced my life in so many ways. All of her family uses it as a goodbye & hello. It is hung in homes on walls, stenciled on furniture, painted on murals, it is repeated daily by someone who loved her dearly. My mother, my guardian angel has inspired me to follow my dreams. Her words, and her grandson, that she never had the chance to meet, have inspired me to move forward in my life. With her passion for life prominent in my memory, I strive to push myself and follow my dreams. I am an independent, strong-willed, passionate, artist & mother.
Because my business is named with my mother's favorite words, and because friends and family were very important to her, I consider all of my clients to be friends & family. You become a part of my life and because of you, I grow as a person. No matter how small our interaction, I welcome you to my life, my art & my family. Welcome to Smile Peace Love!
Since day 1, Smile Peace Love has been committed to the environment through what we call our “ECO initiative”. We implemented the ECO initiative as a framework for identifying opportunities to create & maintain a sustainable, ECO-friendly business and lifestyle. ECO represents three core components required to live and work more sustainably—Education, Consciousness and Optimization.
We are committed to educating all who we come into contact with about what sustainability means, why it matters and why it is a priority in our company.
Consciously incorporating sustainable practices into our business will positively affect the communities where we live and work.
Embracing sustainable practices is a natural fit. Sustainable approaches to business provide immediate and long-term physical, environmental, and economic benefits.
We use only rechargeable batteries.
We use CFL compact flourescent light bulbs.
Most contracts are executed electronically.
We print documents as little as possible, and what paper we do use is recycled.
We work out of a home office, which saves energy (and time).
We provide the digital files and an online gallery instead of paper proofs.
When we create wedding albums and books, we use highly-regarded eco-conscious printers
